Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great first week of September! We’re back this week with another suggested topic from @RobbyZero! Thanks @RobbyZero for all of these fun conversation topics!!
Let’s talk about the MakeCode Game Jams!! And we’re talking about big game jams and mini game jams!! Which one was your favorite and why? Do you have a favorite game that you submitted to a game jam? Maybe it’s different than your favorite jam theme! We want to know!
My favorite mini game jam was the Boss Rush, I love fighting bosses in video games
I also liked the idea of the Spooky mini game jam, but I didn’t really do anything for that one…
I would say Superhero (since I won that one), but I’m actually gonna say the prehistoric jam! It was the jam that really levelled up my developer skills and made me as good as I am today!
Definitely continue submitting!! Not only is it super helpful, but we also love getting community members involved in this kind of stuff! Y’all come up with really good ideas!!
Okay here are some ideas.
For Halloween: Forum member’s favorite Halloween creature
For anytime: Forum members favorite fact they learned.
For anytime: Forum member’s favorite quote
For anytime: Forum members favorite break from school.
Example: winter break, spring break, etc…
Big fan of the board game jam (that one was tough) and the proposed Pi Day / math-focused game jam. So much so that I think they should be recurring themes. OK, talk like a pirate day theme should be recurring, too!
Maybe there could be reoccurring jams while new jams go on so you have options and can come back to ones we like. We could do a poll after every jam to see if it comes back or not.
