What is Microsoft's plan after they remove the "Choose your Editor" screen from MakeCode?

I teach online coding classes using MakeCode for Minecraft, and it is a regular occurrence that I have to deal with the Makecode editor behaving in odd ways, such as not allowing the user to drag code or change values, the screen just turning white and not loading anything, or any number of bugs that should be unacceptable for a trillion dollar company to just leave unpatched.

The only saving grace that I have during lessons is the ability to get the student to go back to the “Choose your editor” screen, and that almost always fixes it. There have been lessons that I have had to do this FOUR times for separate students!

With Python Notebooks disappearing, the “Choose you editor” screen will presumably follow suit. What am I to do? Closing Minecraft Education and reopening it is time-consuming, and resetting the editor deletes all of the code! Are there any plans to deal fix the bugs, or have some way of refreshing the codebuilder without nuking all of the code, or having to wait for a student to completely reload Minecraft?
