Why I've Been Gone

I have been gone for a few months now. I am working on a metroidvania called Mechanical Echo. Turns out metroidvanias are not easy to make. I have a small sneak peak ready, but it has many glitched that have since been fixed in the newest update that I cannot show at the moment. !

Great game! i would like to have exited that boss fight though, i don’t think it was very possible with my current weapon

The weapon is cannot be upgraded until later in the game, the boss is meant to be difficult until you learn it’s attacks:)

Dude, I love this game so much! The artsyle feels so fluid and unique, the movement feels smooth and NOT clunky! The dialogue and health system seem fairly fleshed out and polished so far!..but there is just one problem. One problem, that I kept running into that bumped this from an A+ to a B-…buffers. During combat, you should make sure the buffer is long enough for players to react. It is WAYYYYY too easy for me to land a hitting streak and die immediately! Now, with this aside, the lore in this game is interesting, and I see a lot of potential! Another thing is how unobvious moving through doors are at the beginning. This is more of a personal issue, since it seems like the doors are background details at the start, rather than actual interactions. After all, these are just some things I would love to see touched on in the next update! Having played both versions you posted, I was very impressed by the quality of this game so far! Keep it up.

Thanks so much! I understand exactly what you are saying. I want to add a system that displays a button to show how to go through doors in the next update. And with the weapon, I will be adding abilities to it and have been trying to fix it a bit. Thanks for the feedback! :slight_smile:
