Aesprite to makecode?

Is there a way to import assets from external programs like aesprite?

y’know, i should really make a tool for this… i also like using aesprite in my free time.

are you primarily doing single images or animations? do you do tilemaps in aesprite? just want to figure out what use case i should prioritize

when @Kadeo makes art in aesprite he uses this to convert them into a sprite

Convert image to Arcade sprite

note: if you want to paste it strat to the editor just copy from the img part
also he uses the color pallet of make code when creating a sprite

I would probably make tilemaps as it would be much easier in Aesprite. I’m not really making assets for games in Aesprite right now as I wanted to know if it was viable before commiting.

I have the makecode pallette imported into aseprite, and I primarily do larger images with it. All of the background menu art is made in aseprite and converted to makecode.

Aseprite is amazing. I’m so glad I found it. If you made a tool for this, I think I’d cry from happiness!

(but feel free to ignore me)

Perhaps adding an import for Libresprite as well?

I’ve previously used Aesprite just art in the past, backdrops or sprites.
