An overview of ryan's complete moveset

jump: pressing the up button makes ryan jump upwards. pretty self explanitory.

super charge: while grounded, holding the B button and moving will cause ryan to charge forward with a colorful afterimage effect behind him, going significantly faster than his normal running speed and letting him destroy impact blocks.

wall jump: pressing up on a wall will make ryan kick off of it, sending him up and in the opposite direction of the wall, in a sort of diagonal arc. this can be chained to climb up two walls on either side of ryan.

wall slide: jumping onto a wall and not kicking off of it will cause ryan to slowly slide down it, making for a good way to plan out your next jump.

dash dive: pressing B in the air (if you’re not already super charging,) will send ryan up slightly and forward in the direction he’s facing. very good for getting more distance out of your jump.

backflip: while dash diving, pressing the opposite direction your moving in the air will cause ryan to backflip, sending him up slightly and in the opposite direction. please note that once you perform this move, you cannot use it again until you land on the ground.

wall bonk: running into a wall while charging or dash diving will cause ryan to bash his face off of it, sending him in the opposite direction. more of a downside than an actual move. (poor guy…)

ground pound: pressing down while airborne will cause ryan to stop midair, do a somersault, then slam down at high speed, destroying impact blocks below him.

power jump: jumping immediately after landing a ground pound will send ryan flying upwards, much higher than his normal jump.

pulse jump: pressing up on a pulse orb will cause ryan to bounce off of it in the direction of the arrow on the orb, with varying heights and distances depending on the color of the orb. this will deactivate the pulse orb for a small period of time, also varying on the power of the orb in question, having it lose its filling color and turn into an outline. until it is active again, ryan will not be able to pulse jump off the same orb twice.

writer’s note: i have had a change of plans. since there will be more directions a pulse orb can take you than up, you will press A to pulse jump rather than up.

The mechanics in the demo you gave us are super satisfying to play around with! I had a lot of fun figuring them out and messing around. It’s very intuitive!

Keep up the good work!

These three don’t work…

because they arent implemented yet. i took all of ryans moves from both versions and put them into one complete moveset.
