Just to add that I’ve created some key art for the game:
I created the sunburst effect using grouped triangles in PowerPoint. The curved font was also created in PowerPoint too. I then brought these images in as layers to Procreate before added the hand drawn pics of Lila and the Raindrops.
Have also added a title screen and custom music to the game:

I would recommend cleaning up the pixellated vers as that does tend to create a lot of artefacts and loss of detail (especially here she looks a bit ghoulish lol due to the eyes)

Many thanks for your comments. I was very impressed with your art in the recent scamma project.
Yes I just downscaled in MS Paint from the higher res Procreate image so inevitably there are some artifacts.
Upon reflection, the original artwork isn’t well suited to downscaling to 160x120px without quite a bit of manual re-working.
Good learnings for the next project!

Here’s my submission: The Island (a frantic civilization game where you have to plant trees and crops on a barren island before your time runs out). At the beginning of every cycle, you must find the flashing crop and harvest it (press A) which will give you an appropriate number of crops to place in empty spaces. Once these are planted down, the trees that appear on the map can be converted into houses (which make up your total score.) If you play, give it a few tries to get the hang of it.
