I have got the perfect idea for this game!!!
Here is my game. I believe this is a much better game than my only other mini game jam submission so hopefully people will enjoy playing it.
However, the screen resolution is very high (necessary for the game), so it may lag on some computers. It runs fine on my 2-year-old windows laptop, but it lags way too much for it to be any fun on older / weaker laptops I’ve noticed. If it does not work on your device, I’m sorry…
Note about the lag
At first in the game, as well as having a high screen resolution, the character sprite is 256x256px. This increases the lag. However, if you can deal with the glitchiness of movement for a very small amount of time, the sprite reaches a point where it becomes smaller, therefore (hopefully) allowing the game to run better. So, if the lag is slight at first, hold on for a minute. The first part of the maze is quite short.

Pretty simple:
a - close title screen
arrows - move character

This was a lovely short & sweet (double pun very much intended) game! Really enjoyed the timed mechanic at the end and it caught me by surprise too.
Also another note: This game gave me vibes from “The Safe Cracker” by @TeddyB from the Heist Jam: Just less intense of course… I hope the Hacker is fine with us using his cubes… Go check it out if you haven’t yet!

(also, yes, it was unintended but when I had finished the game I also thought of “The Safe Cracker,” although that game is obviously much better and more fun than mine)
I sure hope this game counts. I had big ideas, some sprites are big, and this certainly consumed a big amount of my time.

Man I’m such a Megaman/Rockman fan and this brought back some great memories on Megaman 4!: keeping it spoiler free it was a BLAST the first time I played it and a much needed refresher to 2 and 3 which felt lackluster asides from some one off’s.
