I would love to make a game to use in an art installation. This platform seems accessible enough for me to actually be able to make something, but I know there are rules about commercial use. Though I wouldn’t be selling the game, people would have to pay to enter the area where the game would be displayed. I wanted to check if that was okay and, if not, if there is any way I could go about getting a license. I searched all over the site and even emailed the team but can’t find any definitive answer.
Haha yeah, I searched the forums and didn’t see anything. And I emailed them, too. I really don’t want to get sued in case it’s not allowed to be displayed in a commercial space. But I also know nothing about code and this is the only coding software that seems like I could actually use since I’m a total beginner.
The best way to contact the moderators is to ping them or DM them. You can also ask on GitHub.
(I’m not a lawyer, take this advice with a grain of salt and contact one if neccessary)
Although, since the code is MIT licensed, I’m pretty sure you can use it for commercial use since the MIT license allows for it. I would still check to make sure though!
