The economy relies on none of the above. And most of the things listed I don’t hate for reasons I gave in the very post you’re responding to.
As for the second paragraph, I know all the greedy investors have put way to much money in it, but I’m not saying it would go away in a day. The economy was working just fine without it a few years ago, there’s no reason it couldn’t just gradually fade away. And if it did disappear one day, wouldn’t it only harm the greedy investors and big companies that push it?
If that’s not how the economy works then feel free to correct me, but I see no point in arguing further.
On a much more lighthearted note, @Cybercuber why are you asking if you should make stuff? Both of those things sound really cool. Go make them!

Technically, your medicine is still being researched and produced by living human scientists; AlphaFold over here is just being used as a highly useful tool, no more, no less. AlphaFold just shows us protein structure, not the exact materials for an automatic vaccine.
