Ok HOLY, I actually forgot about this topic for a while now, hoo boy. Sorry about that, I kinda got carried away with all the schoolwork and college applications to the point where I couldnāt visit the forums much often, let alone create new posts on these existing topics. Clearly, there has to be a few things that I need to clear up, considering how weāre near the deadline now.
As an apology for all the recent inactivity, I am willing to hand out a REALLY LONG EXTENSION to make up for all the absences and lack of proper progress checks. Of course, it really does depend on what progress you have so far. Chances are the extension will last for up till 1 month from now
Would you need that really long extension based on the amount of progress that you had achieved in your games.
- Yes, please, I still have tons of stuff to finish in my submission, that long extension would really help me out
- Nah, I already have lots of good stuff done now, I donāt really need that long of an extension

Iāll close the poll by this weekend if possible and make my decision by then. Again, I am very sorry for the inactivity I showed, despite being fairly engaged in hosting the finale of the CK series prior to starting the grand finale. Iāll make much larger attempts to be a better host in the future.

erm. just what are you talking about, weāre in the finale stage of this competition series, and so far there are only 2 contestants left in the entire competition. You never submitted anything in the qualifiers round @RoboVacDev , so Iām pretty sure that you shouldnāt be asking this question in my topic like this.

The CK5 Grand Finale was initially supposed to end at the end of 12/15/2025 EST; however, Iām significantly considering extending the deadline by 1 month from now, considering the massive lack of inactivity on my end for like the past month or so

EXTENSION GRANTED TILL THE END OF 01/23/2026 EST (a new year 
)
Hopefully, the one-month timeframe between the time this post gets approved and the new extended deadline (01/23/2026 EST) will be enough time for your submissions to be completed in a (your POV) satisfactory state

It is officially 2026, and there are lots of possibilities to explore! This also marks the final year of this entire CK series, but Iāll go all over that in-depth on a later date. Maybe after the deadline passes.

Ok, so over 1 week has passed since the last progress stuff was seen, and there are roughly 22 more days to go before the clock strikes deadline again. So, here we have a poll to estimate progress, again for the 32094875048th time.

- I scrapped my idea completely (bruh)
- I made zero progress since the extension (boi)
- I got a little progress done since the month-long extension was granted (okay)
- I got a decent amount of coding and game development done since the extension (noice)
- I achieved a ton of progress and have almost reached the end of the gamedev process (Jolly good)

Alright, just over 2 weeks have passed since the last progress check I sent on this topic. With today being 1/16/2026 EST as I am typing this post, you now officially have 
1 WEEK REMAINING before the time has come for you to submit your final games and end CK5 on a bang.
In this case, I kind of figured that I should make a different kind of poll, considering how some parts of game development might take longer than others (if there is something else that wasnāt listed in the poll, make a reply to this topic about it).
What do you still need to deal with before we reach the end of 1/23/2026 EST
- I still need to finish the planning and outline of what my game should be like (time crunch)
- I still need to finish off the assets and sprites, and the aesthetics of my game
- I still need to finish coding some important game mechanics before the deadline
- I still need to work on bug fixes and patching inside the project
- Nothing, really, everything has been completed, getting ready for submission.
