Ok, ok, ok, so I know that I said this quote at the end of my last post, being a progress check 2 days ago. However, I just realized that I wanted to be a bit more specific in where you guys are at, considering how there are only a few more days left till the deadline strikes.

So, as you can see here, I have the good old progress check poll (below) asking for the percentages of game development that you have completed at this point in time. If you may, fill this out.

Alright, I need percentages and I need them now. How much have you finished by this point, people?
  • 0% - 25% completed (boi)
  • 25% - 50% completed (clutch time for you)
  • 50% - 75% completed (Quite noice)
  • 75% - 100% completed (Very good)

Regardless, expect 2 final progress checks (each after a time interval of 2 days) after this post gets approved by the forum mods.

Today is 01/20/2026 EST as I am typing out this mighty post, and in 3 days, we will officially hit the deadline of 01/26/2026 EST!

Consider this poll below to be the second-to-last progress check that you’ll ever receive on this very topic.

Do you think that you’ll be able to submit a finished finale game by the end of 01/26/2026 EST (The deadline)
  • Yes, I definitely will be able to submit a finished work by the end of 01/26/2026
  • At the current moment, I do have some confidence in myself, of course, it depends on future life circumstances as well.

But, we are not done yet with this post! This post will not only serve as a progress check for the 2 contestants, but also for the ENTIRE MAKECODE COMMUNITY

As I stated in a previous post, I intend to bring back the voting booth from CK3, in which the members of the community vote for which games they believe are the best and worthy of the champion. Each vote is equivalent to 10 extra points for the contestant.

The poll should last up to one week, and I essentially want to know if there are any Makecoders still paying attention to this very topic, so that I don’t end up wasting 1 week putting up a poll that nobody wants to even respond to.

Makecode Forums Members! Will you be willing to put in the effort and vote for the CK5 winner over the next week or so

I have a ton of homework, and i haven’t had a lot of time to work on my project for the past few weeks. While i will try my best to release level 1 of my game, i might not be able to code the bossfight in time.

I, Taser, the host of the entire CK series, would like to announce to the community…

:crown: TODAY IS THE DAY :bell:

We all have at long last, hit the long awaited deadline of 1/23/2026 EST. 3 months of straight game development, combined with numerous life circumstances, just for this very moment to arrive on the callendar. Let us hope that it was all worth it all, shall we not?

Our 2 contestants @Phoen1x and @CodePerson. As standard procedure goes, would you 2 please submit whatever you got (being your game) into this very topic by the end of the day :blush: ? Whether that is a demo or a fully fledged video game designed in the MakeCode Editor.

A few more things before I close off this post

Contestants. When both of your games get approved by the forum mods, I’ll try to get the voting booth up by the start of next week. Until then… Give yourselves a pat on the back, for you have successfully reached the end of the final chapter of the entire CK series, being CK5. Now, all you have to do in this topic is to wait for the finale results to come out.

I’m also working on writing out the final CK series goodbye letter in the workshop (or whatever one would like to call it), expect that to arrive on this topic some time before the finale results come out. The massive letter has been in development for the past month or so, and I am planning a proper date to release it for the MakeCode Community.

i had a lot planned, but i never got a lot of it done.

Additionally, if this is allowed, i would like to submit a game i made for the tiny game jam a while ago instead.

I apologize that i couldn’t make a full game by the deadline and that tasers final competition had to end like this.
