Personally, i decided not to become an artist because its always been such an financially unstable career for so many of its paths. However, I might have gone for it if not for AI which kinda killed any of my already shaky ambition to make it a career.
Skill and talent isn’t everything when it comes to being successful in art as a career, - world renown artist Van Gogh died long before reaching any kind of fame (only selling one painting) . This issue of just not getting recognition is orders of magnitude worse now that AI art exists.
But im sure its still very possible, people will always want to hire real imagination. It’ll just be much more difficult. being an artist as a job has a broad scope tho. It really does vary and i would pinpoint what you really mean by that.

That artwork is SO AMAZING!!! I’m a huge fan of that angular, somewhat human style for animals, I’m jelous you could get the anatomy of the snout so perfect!

Ok so it has been a while… and I’m here to say that I’m not for sure leaving, I just think I’m getting caught up in so many other things that I am getting less and less time to be here. Not sure when I’ll get a schedule that gives me time to be active here as well as keep up with all my other stuff, but I’m trying so maybe sometime soon. As for my game, we’re getting close! Sorry for the almost four month radio silence- I meant to interact more. For now I’ll just kinda stick around with a pin in me until I get myself together.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you guys know I probably won’t be as active if at all until around valentine’s day as I’m going to be a bit busy until then. I might crank out another update for Solaris, but the next update for Magnate as well as the full release for Train at 7 will need a bit more work. Anyways that’s it from me!
Alright so imma be gone for who knows how long, a major winter storm is hitting soon and I’m expecting loss of power, telephone service, etc. stores are beginning to be empty and I’m days away from it hitting
I just read this, thanks so much! I really just wasn’t happy with the forums in general at the time I left, and I know some other users expressed some other concerns before and afterwards. I will always remember my time here fondly, and I am currently in the process of transitioning to some other coding platforms (thinking mainly of Rust with Bevy). I will probably still do a few things on makecode, but I am basically done
