Game Jam Rules and Teacher Participation

I’m curious about how much I should contribute to my student’s games.

I’m a SPED teacher, and I primarily use Makecode Arcade as a motivational tool. I have multiple students who get very excited over the idea of participating in game jams (one of my students submitted to the Pidgeon Deliverance Game Jam).

They come up with the concept and most of the art, and they tell me how to create the art if they are struggling with something. I wind up doing about 85% of the actual “coding” when we work together on games.

Is it against the rules to have a teacher help so much with the games?

Nope, it’s not against the rules!

As long as the submission requirements don’t specifically list age limits, it’s totally okay.
