yea, we pretty much have everything that we need, makecode is not very limited…
when is the next demo compo?
A pretty extensive list of upcoming demoparties around the world:
…and wavetable synthesis!:
…and textured polygons!!!:
What an awe-inspiring week on the forum!
Why not? This effect can also be put to use:

A nice scrolling effect!:
Truly!
Nice logo and glitch effect!:
In addition to the aforementioned recent breakthroughs for sound, there are definitely developments in and actors doing great work with music on the forum, too:

Probably much and many more. Maybe some of them would like to contribute?
so did Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 for the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive
Yo, I’m proud that I was part of the initial inspiration!
Your contributions on the sound front have not gone unoticed by many! -Thanks!
Just got idea. What if you imitated 3d? Kind of like what the Sega Saturn and 32X did, and render the graphics as pixelated triangles instead of making the real-time-rendering?
Pre-Rendered 3D N64 Logo:https://github.com/A-Random-Nerd21/rendertest
Pre-Rendered 3D can utilize things like SketchFab models and the wireframe, and then make a 3D model if you have the time and patience to draw all the polygons in the pixel art editor. That method could make a nice demo with some music, like, say, a 3D Demo to show off a game, and would be cool, to see on something like a meow:bit or adafruit.
New developments yet for great (demo) music production!:
yeah, i saw this. AND YOU CAN SET DIFFERENT WAVEFORMS OTHER THAN THE DEFAULT INSTRUMENTS!
Just checking in to see how the MakeCode Arcade demoscene is evolving…
The technical level has reached new highs, with notable recent contributions like:
- Legendary @Brohann’s MakeCode Portfolio (see demo section) and 3D devlog
- @MrJones’ new and amazing 3D engine
- @UnsignedArduino’s new standalone executable solution with packers soon enabling entry into the 20kB competitions
- 60 fps version hopefully making the next major @MakeCode release(?), so that we can experiment with illusions of new colors
Anything else I have missed in my long absence?
The community more than ripe to making the first official MakeCode Arcade demoparty competition entry if the right people come together!
Forgot to mention @kwx’s repost of Space Rock Revenge…
