I’m trying to commit a few changes in greenwood war to github but as soon as I push the github button it immediately turns to a white screen and doesn’t load. Then after reloading, It crashes within two mins of opening unless I press home.

That’s so unfortunate! 
I’d suggest making a copy of the game and downloading a version to your computer just to be safe. My best suggestion would be to make a copy of the game and upload it to a whole new github, but I’m not entirely sure what’s happening 
I can still re-import the game from github, and changes I’ve made are as small as a few numbers, so it’s easy to redo them but it’s just a nuisance to redo everything and have to copy-paste every single change I make into the actual github
