Noise pollution cap in makecode

I’ve noticed that makecode seems to have some sort of noise cap, maybe to prevent too much noise pollution in games? It has become a problem in some of my games though, causing background notes in songs to just end early if you jump one too many times and causing the music to feel less exciting. The same thing happens with sound effects if they are longer than 600 milliseconds. Is there any way to eliminate this so music and sound effects can coexist without changing each other? Any and all help is appreciated.

there is a maximum number of sounds that can be played at once, but it doesn’t have anything to do with noise pollution, it’s to avoid hitting the browser limit. i do think this will likely improve with the next release, however, as i’m reworking how sound generation works in the browser

Ok, thank you for this information! Also, follow up question, and I have asked this before, but is the overridden instruments feature of sound instructions confirmed?

uh… well you know what, i’ll make an extension for this today on livestream.

unfortunately, it won’t let you swap the sounds in the song editor, but it will let you change them in your game. hopefully that will work for you!
