:sun_behind_small_cloud: June Update!

After a much-needed break, the updates are back!! :partying_face: I hope you all had a great solstice and are (enjoying / burning in) the heat of summer or just getting cozy for winter.
Thank you all for being so patient, I am so so excited for the most MakeCode summer ever!! :laughing:

This month i’ve been working on another new extension for you all: The transparency extension! :eye_in_speech_bubble: *
*Technically translucency, but this is simpler

Just make a sprite transparent to have its colors fade slightly into the background, like you can see through it:

I’ve had so much fun making this extension (thanks to plenty of help in this thread!) but I feel like the extension could do so much more: Custom opacities, animation support, contrast optimization, and lots of optimization. So, the extension is currently in Beta so I can work on it longer without delaying the update!

Use the blocks to add transparency to a sprite, remove it, or toggle it.

What’s happening next month?
Sometime in the month I’ll release the full version of the transparency extension! Other than that, I’d love to make another video on MakeCode, but I’m too indecisive on which to make…
I also REALLY want to start livestreaming code help, but my computer is on its last legs so as soon as I can find another device to stream on (Maybe an Ipad or just my phone :skull: ) I’ll get those started!!

Office shenanigans!
@CopySprite Could you post your May update by the end of July?
@_jupiter and @TheEarth (unless this is a reference I’m missing) I see no reason two HUGE planets would need rocks of all things! :roll_eyes: Earth, just please share some rocks with Jupiter since they’re a gas giant.
Oh, and to hopefully quell the candy ARMS RACE my office has become, I’ve installed a candy pipeline straight from the factory to the bowl, running right along the mega-highway, so none of you can tamper with this common resource anymore :eye: :eye: :index_pointing_at_the_viewer:
