The fundraiser is still being approved!
I’m so sorry for all of the delays, I’m going to do some extra work this weekend to see if I can speed up the process at all, but it may be as late as the end of the month.
In the meantime, I’ve started work on my project for this month! I’m going to be revamping and upgrading SAMMY with new features:
Automatic text to audio conversion
Easier to use website
Voice controls
Thank you for waiting, but thankfully the rest of my projects won’t be delayed!
Thank you for the endorsement!
Right now I’m just looking for more Hebes! by @InvalidProject reviews and fan art, but beyond that, your support is plenty!
Great question! I originally intended the name as random user, but that was already taken on github, so I split it up as rando muser. I kept it like that on all platforms where randomuser was taken or I had to split the name in two, in part to stay consistent but also because its fun to subvert expectations and have a title like ‘muser’
It depends on if makecode could detect it was on a steam deck and adjust the controls accordingly. But if Steam lets me upload a different version of Hebes for players on Steam deck, or I can implement a manual way for players to adjust the controls, then definitely!
so its about compatibility, you likely cant directly import makecode to steam, you would need it to be an EXE File, so I would reccomend that you put it through itch.io first so you can edit the code and add controls to makecode, the next major requirement is that it should be compatible with proton (Most software is compatible with proton), and I’m also pretty sure that makecode is compatible, you could also just map your own controls
Wow, thank you for all of the information, this is really helpful!
I will definitely do all of this to make it available on steam deck, it seems that it should work (but of course it’s never been done before through steam) and you seem to know a lot about it so I’ll ask again if I run into an issue
