I got the code ready, the characters ready, all I need is bosses, I mean cant have a boss rush game without bosses! Also music is appreciated.

A good reference would be to scour the forum with the word “Boss” as there are a lot of fun boss fights here. You can also find good inspiration from classic game bosses (Like Dr Eggman or Megaman Bosses) and you can add a twist to them!
For music, I recommend looking for 8 or 16 bit music remakes or midi music then trying to replicate it. Not the best method but it gives solid results.
