I would love to have this extension, Statusbars is so specifically for bland bars
Nope! There’s only 2 sprites per status bar: the 100%-filled version, and the one with what to take away from it (basically, a black version of it, because the bar in my case is one main color [red, cyan, or yellow], and the empty part is black). In the code, I edit the 2 images so that the black version covers the correct amount of the bar based on the percentage of the value it represents.
In my visual representation, the first 2 sprites are the only actual assets. The 3rd one is what the program would edit the second one into (by just erasing the left half of it), then the 4th one is when the program combines the 1st & 3rd ones. So if the bar was at 75%, it would erase more of the empty version so that more of the filled version shows. It’s subtractive art.
