Hello fellow Makecoders,
I am @Air, a presidential candidate for the 2026 Makecode Arcade Election.
Though I am relatively new here ‒ only here for a little over a year ‒ many of you may not even know who I am. I’m not the greatest coder on these forums; in fact, I’m far from it. I’m not the most supportive or kind user here. Again, far from it. And I’m definitely not the most helpful person. Once again, I’m very far from it.
But I’m not here to be the best, and you shouldn’t be either.
However, I am here to make a difference. A difference in the way we code, socialize, and the way we treat each other.
I want to see a forum where people understand each other, and understand that they don’t have to be as talented as @luke at art, as good as @bifrosty at coding, or as kind or supportive as @randomuser. But they know that people can help. People can understand. It doesn’t have to be an empty void that many users are shouting into.
Now, I can’t promise that I will help with every single bug, problem, or loss of motivation. But I will try.
Nobody’s perfect. Why should the president of MakeCode be any different?
We’re all going to make bad games. We’re all going to write horrendous code. Everyone’s going to post something that they regret. We are all going to feel like we want to give up.
Why wouldn’t you?
Giving up is the easiest thing to do. What truly builds courage, perseverance, and improves your skills is pushing through when you don’t know what else to do.
Often, pushing through doesn’t mean fixing the bug. It means asking for help. It means having just one more crack at it. Sometimes, it could just mean coming back tomorrow.
I don’t want to promise a perfect MakeCode. After all, that would be impossible.
I want to promise a MakeCode where people aren’t afraid to ask for help, where people can improve, and where people can speak up.
And most importantly, where people know that someone on the other side of the screen is willing to listen.
I’m not the greatest candidate for president.
But I’m here.
And if you give me a chance ‒ an opportunity ‒ I will keep showing up.
Day after day.
Week after week.
Month after month.
I will be here.
