Probably a category for competitions for users to view… that would be nice.
Can he have multi cam for multiplayer where everyone has there own camera?
Building onto that, how about an advanced multiplayer? Let the host handle the game state, and the other players do some of the calculations based on whatever data you pass to them? So you could have four different camera locations. You could even make one see different things
3d Tilemaps and collision in raycasing somehow plz use arrrays and for that one with floor and celing
Interesting thought. I’ve been thinking about this style of multiplayer for a couple of months. Planning on filing a feature request in GitHub for this once I can get my thoughts to settle down.
That would be awesome! It would allow people to make multiplayer card games and stuff!
Different things on different screens that’s cool. If it happens on raycasting: floor and celling that’d be even better.
The only problem is that you would have to tell the code which screen to show every sprite or have a different work space for each player, right?
It depends… That is how I would want it, as it would mean I could make a different state for every player. Basically the players could be running two different games at the same time, but one impacts the other or something.
skull smashing update
At that point just add cloud variables so that I can make an MMO ![]()
cloud variables how dare you
This is as bad as saying SCR*TCH!!!
I wish there was a way to transfer your makecode account to a different email. I started my Makecode account (not forum account) on my school email, which will get deleted when I leave my school, so if this is already a feature somewhere, please let me know!
@WoofWoof we have no such feature, but you can download all your projects as a zip file, log out, log in with your new account, and import the zip. depending on the number of projects it might take a while ![]()
Technically, you can!
There is a feature in your account tab of the preferences section where, below your PFP, you can add alternate emails and change your primary email.
Maybe try that?
Ah, I was just wondering if there was a way to transfer existing updatable links to a new email. No matter, I’ll just have to send new links if I update those projects. I’m gonna move projects to a new account now!
I’m guessing this won’t be an issue for extensions, as they are hosted on GitHub, which is good.
I wish that there was a line in the music editor so that I could start anywhere I want, and pasting isn’t hell.
I wish that there were key signatures and time signatures so that I could make music more easily.
not for makecode but for an extension richard could you make the tilemaps in the overworld extension be temporary assets so i don’t need to destroy a million of them to make my game look better
ADD A COUNTERTENOR CLEF. we have a bass clef, now add a clef for higher notes. we need more freedom in the music editor. (and more sound effects.)
