🏷 Weekly Topic: Favorite Store

The votes are in! There was a very large majority of voters last week that wanted the weekly topics to continue, so we’re chugging along! I hope the “yes” votes mean that y’all are having fun with these!

This week, we’re using an idea from @randomuser! We want to know what your favorite store is. Shopping is a very pervasive part of global society. Whether that be shopping for groceries at a farmer’s market or grocery store, browsing through a thrift shop for anything under the sun, or buying games at something like Game Stop, stores are usually part of our regular schedules.

So, we want to know, what’s your favorite store? Even if you don’t buy things there! You could just like a store because of it’s aesthetic or the values of the company; let’s chat about it!

Oh, and it can be an online store as well! For the purpose of this post, a store is any place (digital or physical) where you can exchange something that you have for something the vendor has. That exchange is usually your currency for their product, but there are other methods of exchange that I would consider a store.

Ditto that, @UnsignedArduino ! We’re lucky enough to have a Micro Center in the area. I visit several times a year. I’d go more frequently, but it’s about an hour away. I set aside a half day, usually on a weekend, if I’m making a special trip.

I take a half day because right down the street from Micro Center is GOB Retail, which claims to be “Michigan’s largest game and comic store.” I always pick up something while I’m in town.

Locally, we have a game and comic franchise called Vault of Midnight. They have three locations thtoughout southern Michigan. I get my DC subscriptions there.

Probably the Common man roadside donut shop. For those of you who don’t know the common man is a restaurant with amazing green beans. And they have a donut shop on a highway rest stop. They have the best donuts. And even house made hot chocolate. So good .

I’m betting more than half the replies will be Gamestop. It’s the only reasonable option for people on a CODING FORUM

Thanks for using my idea! : D
Although I hadn’t thought of an answer… I spend the most time in thrift stores, looking for really unique pieces with lots of colors! :rainbow:
But I rarely get anything, so I spend the most at craft stores. Fabric, yarn, colored pencils, things to paint, clay… there’s just so much to have fun with!
