Lucky my school would never think of doing such a thing. If something is banned, then it will always be banned. Plus, they have had some trouble with people trying to find proxys and things, so they are wary of everything now, especially after last year.

That’s good! I… do not do that. But like I said I’m not really so addicted to the forums that I couldn’t leave for a few days if I wanted to, it was just a temporary thing when I knew I had the possibility of getting the badge. Now I’m in college (just moved in!) so I’m probably gonna slow down my forum activity once classes start.

I asked our principal last year to unban this website, and he did. Also almost nobody at our school would even try to find loopholes, only me . (though I do know 2 wifi password at our school)

What a FANTASTIC essay! I really love how you go through the related histories surrounding Turing, as I often only remember hearing about his theories/work and not the context behind them. I’m shocked I never heard about how and why he died, what a tragedy it is how many good and world-changing people we have lost that way.
It’s funny how many histories include ‘They’re credited with disovering this-- I mean other people discovered it earlier, we just didn’t know/care at the time’
Interesting you say ‘female operator’ (given ‘operator’ was not a male term at the time)
I also just wanted to say, although I haven’t yet read them all, that I really love all of the effort and passion you’ve put into these essays, it really shows!
