In a game update, I check whether the player dies by iterating over sprite kind and checking if they overlap. I prefer this then having the on overlap event. When the player dies I want to show an animation.
Placing a pause here doesn’t get the animation to run, I guess because it is within the update method. When I was watching the YouTube video on character animations, I remember hearing something about animations being queued.
Do I need to set a flag, and ignore certain other game update events, and then after some time, reset the game?
I think I just answered my own question. If this is the case, then I hope this has helped someone else.
