plus can we keep it bit civil in this comment section? I don’t want this thread to be closed down like the other ones

Makecode just wasn’t made to handle huge amounts of blocks. They should probably add the feature to have multiple .blocks files in a project

:disappointed_relieved: Yikes, uh, ok. Sorry… Did you read this?

Yep, I’m saying this in case anybody else leaves for a reason you don’t really think is good enough for them to go. People have been through their own experiences and have different opinions on what to do than you. Just leave them to their opinions and wish them luck with whatever they do in the future. Keep that in mind next time you see a forum member leave.

people here are getting more and more mad.

Okay, first things first, I can sense some hostility here so let’s try to keep it civil. It seems like there was a misunderstanding, so I’d like it if this little argument stopped.

I can see both sides here, anyone should be able to leave the forum for any reason without the need to justify themselves. There’s nothing stopping anyone from just deciding they won’t log into the forum one day, there’s actually no need to announce your departure if you’re truly leaving at all.

However, I can agree that it’s a shame to leave due to a prevetable issue. GitHub works, and I can vouch for it. It gives you a way to manage versions of your game and a way to rollback if anything ever breaks, so it’s by far the best way to backup your stuff. I could make a tutorial about it soon…

you are not wrong acc, github corrupted my game files multiple times when I used it 2 years ago

I have had this happen, also. As a back-up, whenever I’m working on something important to me, I not only update to github, but I make sure to download my game to my machine often. This makes it so that I can not only go back to a saved version if something gets tweaked, but it allows me to work on my game on an incognito window if I need things sped up a bit.

Not trying to argue. I didn’t mean what I posted hostile in any way, and I apologize if I was. I’ll admit, I was a little miffed that somebody was stating obvious solutions, and accusing me of not doing using or doing them, but I wasn’t mad.

The rest of your post is on point though and honestly, a github tutorial would be nice.

This isn’t the most inaccurate meme ever.

Quick note for anyone who notices that Github repos are coming up empty when committing via MakeCode: I’ve noticed that sometimes if you edit the pxt.json in MakeCode, it causes issues in Github. If, on the other hand, you edit the pxt.json in Github, then pull it back down and commit, things should work fine.
