Making an retro arcade cabinet!

Update
—————————————————————————————————

Here is the progress I got this week plus something at the bottom of the post

I have gotten pretty far now. However I still have a lot more to do.
—————————————————————————————————

  • finish the cabinet (obviously)
  • fill all the cracks and holes
  • prime it and paint it
  • make a inspection door.
  • cut out and hole for the screen and mounting it
  • remove the top front plate and replace it with plexiglass
  • mount a lamp behind the plexiglass
  • drill holes for all buttons and joysticks
  • Mount and connect all buttons and joysticks
  • install the raspberry pi.
  • mount speakers
  • connect everything and drill a hole for the wire in the back
  • Test it

Also my friends told me that it looked like a car sooooo….

]What do you think about my arcarde machine

How is this cool project going, @Sonicblaston?
(Not as car, but as a standing full size arcade machine…)

I totally forgot to update this. Okay @everyone this is finally done (kinda).

Final update

————————————————————————————————

I few cool things I have added to the machine.

  • The machine is fully functional with glowing buttons and black paint. It is finally possible to play games on it.

  • there is two inspection panels. One on the back and one under the buttons and joysticks.

  • The front inspection panel is held in place with two fake screws. These are not actually screwed in, meaning that you can just pull them out to open the panel.

  • The screws for the inspection panel has some nylon threads connected to them, stopping them from falling on the floor when pulled out.

  • There is enough space inside this machine to put a subwoofer there later in time.

  • The top of the machine has a spot made install a light. Then there will be a cool panel with a logo on mounted in front of the lamp. (Sadly I won’t be able to do this in school).

  • I uploaded a YouTube video showing some gameplay from the machine. (The link is further down)

That is all byeee….
