Running the Cardboard Arcade Image on RPi Zero 2W

Greetings!

Last weekend we held a hackathon and built cardboard arcade consoles working off the cardboard console instructions using the Rpi Zero. The cabinets also have access to mono jacks to allow users with physical disabilities to play games by plugging in their custom switches to the set up. Here is a post going through the process.

Our hackathon was almost totally derailed since we bought RPi 2W boards which were unable to boot the image. We got stuck in the rainbow screen. Frantically scouring the internet, we saw some more general recommendations to download and add the bcm2710-rpi-zero-2.dtb file to the boot partition. This sadly did not resolve the issue for us. I also tried adding a delay to the display in the config.txt file without luck.

Does anyone have a solution for how to use this project on the RPi 2W? I’m guessing eventually they are going to stop selling the old RPi 0 which will sadly make this project obsolete if there is no solution.

Any help is most appreciated!
