GREETINGS! a problem I have noticed with different creators on the platform and or myself, is but simply the dreaded BURNOUT that comes with making games. I have decicded to help with this problem by starting THE ANTI-BURNOUT CHALLENGE!
the idea is simple, I and others will make a post on this thread with a link to their project, as a promise to themselves they will uphold themselves to the challenge.
the challenge itself is to update their linked games dev-log every 1-2 weeks, possibly getting feedback on their progress from other people doing the challenge.
by joining this challenge, you will hopefully be more likely to get feedback from other people on the forum, and or will also be able to help by giving feedback yourself and helping everyone to get past the dreaded BURNOUT that plagues many on the forums.
this thread, I hope, will create a COLLABORATION FEEDBACK LOOP!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! TAKE THAT BURNOUT!
jokes aside this is mostly just an attempt at helping with a noticed problem, and defiantly not a definitive solution. if this doesn’t seem like a problem or you don’t wish to take part in this challenge, feel free to ignore this post. however, I myself will be posting a link to my Voidland’s Renewal project bellow. have a good day!
I, sadly, currently have a lot of my plate and can’t personally support any revival attempts at this current moment. however I will support any other individual’s(like you) attempts to do so.
A procedurally animated survival-exploration-horror game, kinda like rain world, but set in the dead of winter. Prolly using BLADEr’s softbody+rope extension.
Omg i need this! I had problems with procrastination, lazynes and burnouts, and i will happily join this challange! Im sadly not going to be able to work on my game too much right now as i have a lot of plans during summer, but i will get right back to it as soon as i can!
The main thing i want to work on is my dungeon crawler, which is a great example of the procrastination and burnouts because its over a year old but far from a finished game and doesnt even have a name yet.
alright, so I need some help fixing the code. I have looked through the code and cant find anything. even made a copy to make sure it wasn’t the particular file. maybe the copy also has the same bug? IDK. would appreciate the help. ima make its own topic later but still.
alright, I am trying to avoid scrapping the project due to this bug, but I cant seem to get rid of the error. I am going to make my own topic and I will be back if this gets fixed or I give up.
