What i would change about the forum (functionality/Communication)

please read everything before formulating an opinion

Note: I am unaware if these changes are possible or even if they would be worth implementing
also, this is only from my point of view so if you have a differing opinion I would love to hear your ideas and concerns
finally, this isn’t me hating on the forum it’s great but I think it could be better with these stated changes

First off I want to talk about the moderation requirement for messages while they can be annoying I feel they are necessary however there should be a way for someone to respond quickly and at the same time remove the need to put “(sentence)” at the end of short replies

Quick responses
when you want to respond to someone’s post or topic have an option to choose from preselected responses that are instantly posted but to avoid them clogging up topics have them only show up under responses or just in a separate tab inside the original response

Some responses could be
Wow!
Nice work!
Thank you
Love this update!

But not all of them should be positive
Criticism is very important when making a game (even more so alone)
Something like
Hey I found a problem
and then they could then post what they found
also something for difficulty such as

This game is hard!
not a bad thing but it could be if that’s not the developer’s intent

This could help with communication and the problem with slow response and there would be fewer posts that needed moderation

(I’m not as convinced that this should change compared to the first part of this topic)
Lowering likes
I feel that sometimes likes feel ingenuine because I’ll see someone just went down the list of replies somewhere liking everything so their numbers go up and not them actually enjoying what’s being said. I think that any badge that has a like requirement for giving them out should either not be as high or should be removed altogether, now for getting likes I feel that’s a non-issue if you make a post and people ACTUALLY LIKE WHAT THEY SEE then they should be rewarded for it not just someone trying to get a badge or make their numbers go up

these two things I feel if changed could make communicating on the forum even better than it already is but of course is not something that needs to happen.

Quick Responses: Great idea!
Lowering likes: Hmmm. That’s just how likes work on every platform. Plus, even if extra likes are annoying, they make users who post in long threads higher up on the boards, which encourages continued projects! And we need those right now!

nah, most people also have to type this because their sentence was all uppercased.
Other than that, I agree with what you said.

Some quick response ideas
Links to another forum post that solves the issue (would be useful for questions like how to use block objects, how to copy music notes, POST YOUR GAMES HERE etc…)

Vagueish responses that encourage users to debug stuff themselves whilst waiting for more detailed help (eg: Make sure that you check your game update blocks, use debug mode, use boolean variables, use functions)

Emojis (maybe just the makecode ones just to be safe)

Yeah but they could encourage the opposite sometimes more likes come with off topic things
