Zenith Smash is a game inspired by one of my favourite game series: Super Smash Bros.

How to play
Zenith Smash is played the same way Super Smash bros is played, you and your opponent attack each other with the goal of knocking the opponent off the stage.
Astral
Stats
Astral has some pretty average stats, he’s a ranged character that is pretty fast both on the ground and in the air.
Pixel’s neutral special is Red Pencil Pixel throws a pencil that turns red when it travels dealing more damage at longer ranges. (There are only neutral attacks in this version of the game)
I will be continuing the development of this game but I’m not accepting character submissions yet, I still need to finish the movesets of the current characters as well as adding an AI to make the game single player.

Wow this is amazing! I like the aesthetic of this game way better than pixel smash. I do think the hitboxes for melee attacks are small and don’t do enough knockback. I’m glad you are containing this! I think this will be big.
Amazing. I will definitely play it with my brother later, but as far as I can see now it’s a great game. I have no idea how this will do in the jam though. May the best coder win!
After playing the game a bit with my friends I really agree with this, Astral’s punches attacks are really weak compared to PixelDoodle, they’re so weak that Astral struggles to kill even at high percents.
In the current version of the game that I have I did a bunch of balance changes to make things more fair such as giving PixelDoodle 7 nerfs and giving Astral 2 buffs. (Pixel’s still S tier don’t worry)
This is one of the biggest issues with the game, it’s really laggy on certain devices. My phone can’t even get past the character select screen.
I’m currenly working on a few fixes to try and make the game lag less.
This sounds like I just want Astral to be better but that’s not the case, due to Pixel having an oversized pencil as a sword he had significantly more melee range. Since that post I actually gave Pixel a buff to compensate for Astral’s buff. (Astral got a 250% melee range buff and we’re not going to talk about it… yet)
