Hey folks!

You’ve been waiting, and now our theme announcement is finally here! We are super excited to announce that the theme for our next game jam is Turnips!

Remember, any game you submit must involve this theme in some way. Here are some examples that work well with this theme:

  1. A platforming game where you collect turnips

  2. A sorting game where you sort different types of turnips

  3. A farming simulator where you sell turnips to become a successful business

  4. A racing game where you play as different types of turnips racing through farm-themed courses

This time the jam will run from Monday, July 3rd to Monday, July 31st, ending at 11:59 PM PT, so get coding!

I believe it originates from a troll video from 2007… but it’s possible it originated from 4chan boards even before that (if I recall correctly)
