Hi I’m almost 30 and started using make code I find it easy to use as I’ve been trying for years to use other engines and also coding languages I just can’t seem to grasp it, so my question is, is makecode for adults?
Really if you think about it, anyone can use MakeCode. Obviously there are a lot of younger people on here, but nobody discriminates!
It can be, you just have to learn it
its for everyone dw
Welcome to makecode forums .
Yes… you can share all of your projects with others no matter your age (but only if your over 13). This is an inclusive community.
so for games it should be fine but after a bunch of blocks it will turn very laggy
Makecode is for anyone learning to code! Yes, that is mostly kids, but everyone here is supportive about learning no matter your age!
I mean I guess adults can use it it just seems weird to me because I only use it for school stuff. In high school we switch to unity so I won’t be using this for much longer
When I was teaching college, I used MakeCode Arcade for my intro to computer science course because it was much better than the other tools that the students were supposed to use. I’m so glad that you’re finding your way around MakeCode; you’ll build solid fundamentals in Blocks that you’ll be able to transfer to other languages (you can learn JavaScript and Python in MakeCode, too!) and to other environments. It’s a great programming environment and this community welcomes all. Please feel free to ask questions here; you’ll find a lot of support!
