This post was directed at people like 4 months ago, times have changed a lot since then, so this reply probably didn’t age too well. Either way, I figured that you COMPLETELY misunderstood my post and the post itself.
(also, for some reason, out of all the replies in this post, I’m the only one being bashed ?)
This wasn’t abt the forum’s TOS, it was about all the users leaving due to the off-topic stuff. Also, your whole argument of off-topic stuff not being mentioned in the TOS makes little to no sense whatsoever, this is like saying I can post NSFW-tier stuff just because Code of Conduct never mentioned it.
This wasn’t the intention, this wasn’t anyone’s intention in this post. This post was mainly regarding the fact that the off-topic stuff caused users to leave as said in the early replies of this post. Plus I tried to stay as nice as possible:

Dude, trying to paint me as a hypocrite is definitely not a good look when you forgot all the other 98 replies on this post. You’re conveying yourself as a supremacist by trying to act like only people who consistently post high-quality games are the GOATS of the forums, and everyone else ought to leave the forums in disgrace. There are people who barely post game links these days on these forums but are still considered beloved, take @DangerNoodle for example.
And done with my rambling, after so many words and characters, I can finally rest my case.
That’s not very nice! It was a lot worse back then. You also put words in Tasers mouth. Not all new users are bad, he never said that. And, lastly, there is nothing off topic about this post. It was made to highlight a very serious issue, and, as a matter of fact, actually worked. So please don’t say this stuff if yo don’t have the details… you said it yourself, you only read half.
This right here just negated the rest of your post. Seriously, why even go to the effort of writing a dissertation when the very thing you’re responding to you did not read?
Thanks, @Luke and @Taser , for your thoughtful and well-researched responses. Shouts out, too, to @ChimbroDaPro , @personalnote , and @Sarge . I appreciate your tactful and well-formed posts, here and elsewhere, to draw my attention to this.
We’re trying as hard as we can to allow as much discourse (pun intended)[1] as possible while also limiting the off-topic shenanigans. It’s a difficult balance, and we sometimes follow our instincts without having read an entire thread. We also work a bit in isolation. I try to take care of the weekends and mornings in the Eastern Time Zone so that the MakeCode team doesn’t have a deluge during their Mondays through Fridays in the Pacific Time Zone.
I do feel bad for the Monday morning person, because I leave most of the questionable posts for you.
You’re all really good at flagging things that we miss. I’d guess that, most of the time, it’s because the moderator who approved the post simply missed the context of the post. Please keep flagging things that you find objectionable or grossly off-topic. Please don’t be offended if we disagree with you.

4 years later, I’m back. I have no idea how to contribute meaningfully, except by leaving comments and upvoting good projects. It feels like home in the review queue, everyone here is talented and speaks well, I really like it here!
I haven’t seen any spam… but I haven’t been here long but anyway I don’t think that there are more people leaving then joining because I know 2 people including me who joined in the last two weeks. I haven’t been here long yet I already love the forum and I would hate for it to not have people on it…
